The Best is Yet to Come!

On those days when life seems to be getting the best of you, when all your attempts at success seem to be less than you desire, and failure looms like an albatross around your neck, remember that it is in your weakness that you gain your strength.

If not for those times when you fall on your face, how would grace be able to lift you up to see a new achievement? How dull your life would be if you remained stagnant, never moving ahead!

So look at your trials as building blocks of faith.  Look at what you have learned, and remain steadfast. This too shall pass, but you will have grown in faith and strength, God's warrior, no longer afraid of the battle!  Onward, mighty Christian soldier!  Your heavenly reward is great!

"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.  For when I am weak, then I am strong."  2 Corinthians 12:10 NIV

  1. My Dear,
The LORD always knows when to give you a Word just for me. This morning, I woke up and looked at my emails and saw a rejection slip for one of my short stories. Your Word was what I needed to hear. I know my story is outstanding and that there is a publisher or editor out there waiting to publish it. I have to hold on to my faith and keep marching forward.
Thank you and have a blessed weekend.
    Shalom Aleichem,
    Patricia

  2. Dear Pat,
You have the right idea. God knows our hearts and always brings someone to encourage. It is up to us to hear what they say. There is great wisdom in that. I am glad that God used me to encourage you today. Keep walking in His plan for you and he will see you through. Sometimes a rejection is not a bad thing. Sometimes it means that the right person (in your case, the reviewer) is not ready yet, or is not in place. Don't stop and camp out there, instead just keep doing His work. The rewards will come. Have a blessed weekend yourself! Deirdre

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
Now the just shall live by faith:.....

  5. You helped both Pat and me with your uplifting words.I am so very sick from the lyme, a UTI and the Amox supposed to be healing it. Yet God sent me a new heart drug that corrected the afib after one dose, will strengthen the heart, raising the EF(pumping ability) and get my heart back to where I was before the lyme hit and maybe better than ever. Why didn't the drs give me this 17 years ago and save wear and tear on my poor heart? I don't know. All I care about is that God answered our prayers in His time not ours. If I must suffer a bit longer with side effects, the reward of a healthier heart is worth it. Your prayers and those of so many others, plus mine seem to be answered. Your message today was icing on the cake.
    Love you so much,

    Micki

    1. My Dear Micki, what wonderful news! We could spend all day wondering why things sometimes take so long. Our life is a testimony to God's grace and mercy. What did you learn these last 17 years? That God is faithful to His word! It is by His stripes that you are healed, not by anything you or any doctor could do. God loves us, and He doesn't want to see us in pain. But everything has a divine purpose, and though we might not see it, it will all give Him the glory He deserves. I couldn't be happier for you! What a beautiful testament to His goodness and love! I love you! Deirdre
